Hand in Hand is a national network of employers of nannies, housecleaners and home attendants working for dignified and respectful working conditions that benefit the employer and worker alike. Hand in Hand was founded in 2010 by a group of domestic employers and their allies who had worked side by side with domestic workers to support the passage of the New York State Domestic Worker Bill of Rights. Hand in Hand works closely with the National Domestic Workers Alliance to continue to collaborate on campaigns and efforts to address the common interests of workers and employers nationwide, whose lives are so intimately connected.

In addition to organizing efforts, Hand in Hand supports families that employ domestic workers by providing education and resources on best practices.

The Institute for Families and Nannies (TIFFAN) is a 501C.3 nonprofit organization with the mission to establish a recognized standard of care for the nanny industry and best practices supporting parents and nannies to provide the best care for children.  TIFFAN provides education, mentorship and support to nannies elevating their work to reach Federal and State standards required for anyone working in a licensed childcare facility.  TIFFAN supports parents in workshops and consultation services to go through a process to hire a nanny that fits and to create share care arrangements that work.
