Choosing a Childbirth Prep Class

Knowledge is power! Feeling informed and prepared for your baby’s arrival can greatly improve your birth experience and increase confidence! Choose a childbirth class that fits your needs and equips you mentally, emotionally, and physically.

“When should I take a childbirth class?”
It is recommended to complete ALL childbirth classes by the 37th week of pregnancy.

“Will the class be recorded if I miss a session?”
Blossom is unable to provide Zoom recordings for missed sessions, due to privacy and confidentiality concerns. Thank you for understanding. Please reference our Make Up Policy.

 ALL classes have shifted to a virtual classroom via Zoom unless specified otherwise.

Full Childbirth Prep Series Classes

Childbirth Prep Series​
those unsure of their birth plans and want ​a practical approach that goes beyond what is typically covered in basic books or classes.​
12 hrs total offered via
3wk series​ (4hrs each) & 5 wk series (2.5hrs each)​
Digital Handouts
Balanced between theory and practice, providing a true view of labor and delivery with its many variations and personal coping techniques.
Birthing Naturally: Partner Supported Childbirth 🌱
Birthing parent(s) who are committed to avoiding medical interventions and wish to be supported by a partner.
8 week series
Meets 2.5-hr per week

20hrs total instruction
$25 ​due to the instructor in addition to your registration fee.
Simple and thorough techniques that enable the birthing person to channel one’s strength, confidence, and relaxed disposition when preparing for labor and birth. ​​​
Childbirth Prep Express

are unable to attend a more in-depth class or very close to their due date

​This is a general overview of the process of labor, common hospital procedures, and a brief intro to coping tools.
Birth After Cesarean
​
Not available at the moment
Have had one or more previous cesareans and wish to experience a vaginal birth or more positive repeat cesarean experience.

Class Handouts
Join others who have experienced a cesarean birth. This class is a labor and birth "refresher" with a specific VBAC focus.
Navigating your Birth: Secrets from a Doula
Those are leaning towards a hospital birth and wish to be prepared for what the birth experience in that setting entitles. Besides being a full Childbirth Prep Course, this series also has the objective to bring families together in a supportive unbiased environment.
6-week series

​Join a group of expecting parents as we dive into everything you might experience during your time at the hospital. We’ll discuss how to prepare for birth, what to expect at each stage, all of your choices in labor, advocacy, and so much more. With this knowledge you will feel confident in your labor and as a new parent.
