Dana Schmidt has been on the Blossom board since 2018. She comes to Blossom having worked in philanthropy for more than a decade, specifically through grantmaking to support education in low-income countries. She currently manages a portfolio of grants to organizations that are simultaneously supporting child development and caretaker wellbeing in sub-Saharan Africa and India. This portfolio is based on clear evidence that the best programs to support children are those that support caregivers. Dana knows this more intimately than ever having benefited from the supportive Blossom community as she became a mother herself and she is dedicated to helping Blossom provide the same benefit to other families.
