Ask just about any new parent what’s on their mind, and you’re likely to hear the same answer over and over again: Sleep.

Parents may joke about sleep deprivation being a “rite of passage,” but the fact is that many families suffer sleepless nights for months (or even years) – and the toll it takes on the child AND the parents are no laughing matter.

Sleep deprived moms are more likely to suffer from post-partum depression and are three times more likely to be carrying an extra 11 pounds by baby’s first birthday, according to recently published research. Dads suffer too, as the ongoing stress leads to a disconnect between the parents, and can impact both parents’ performance at work. Plus, studies have recently linked sleep problems in children to a number of behavioral problems and ADHD.

Is your child waking up several times in the middle of the night making you feel exhausted the next day? Are you having to hold, rock or feed your baby to sleep each time only to have them wake up shortly after? Are naps short and inconsistent? Tackling these problems early is the most important step in avoiding these issues. Through this seminar, you will gain tips on how to teach your child healthy sleep habits so that they can fall asleep independently and on an age appropriate schedule. You will also learn techniques for bedtime and nap routines. We will discuss the Top 7 Tips that you can start implementing right away to help your little one sleep better, be happier and healthy AND so that they entire family can get the rest they need and deserve!

Naré Panossian is a Physician Assistant, Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant , and mom to 3 well-rested kids. After experiencing sleep challenges with her first child, she learned of sleep training and teaching a child independent sleeping skills. She realized just how life changing sleeping independently and through the night can be for not only the child but also the parents and the entire family. This sparked a passion for her to bridge her medical knowledge with pediatric sleep. She is passionate about helping families teach their children gentle, independent sleeping skills so the entire family can get the rest they need and deserve.
