Postnatal Yoga & Fitness Classes
Caring for your body postpartum is easy at Blossom with a variety of classes to meet your changing body's needs. All instructors have training and experience with supporting new moms in the postpartum period and are a valuable resource as you heal.
Prenatal Yoga - All of Blossom's prenatal classes are open to postpartum moms who would like to take a break from caring for their babies and continue their yoga practice in a safe, familiar environment.
Mom & Baby Yoga - This pre-mover class is a great opportunity for moms so spend time with their babies and work on their postpartum bodies.
Mommy & Baby Pilates - In this class, you will have quality time with your baby. Starting with pelvic floor and core work for Moms. Breathing exercises with baby, to get calm and centered.
Postpartum Healing Workshop - This pelvic floor workshop is offered a few times a year with a focus on healing and restoring the pelvic floor.
Toddler & Me Yoga - As your child grows and begins to move you can continue your yoga practice in these classes. Babies welcome, but it is a mixed age class.
When is it ok to start coming to Mom/Baby classes after baby is born?
Having a baby is hard work and taking time to notice how your body feels is important. You can begin exercise when you feel you are ready. This is typically six weeks for a vaginal birth and eight weeks for a cesarean birth, but there isn't one right answer for everyone. You are always welcome to come and be amongst your peers if you just need to get out and build up to exercising.
What if I need to feed or change my baby?
Classes involving children are more fluid and mothers start and stop the workout as needed. Please tend to the needs of your child as they arise.
Do I pay for a space for my child in class?
Exercise and fitness classes only require the adult to pay for class. Up to two children are allowed to accompany each adult. If you have more than two children, please consider bringing an additional caregiver to help.
Class & Registration Information
Please note: For safety reasons and out of respect for students and instructors, nobody will be permitted to yoga classes 10 minutes past the posted start time. Please allow plenty of time to park (especially during lunchtime classes) and to check in. If you should arrive late, we welcome you to stay to enjoy a cup of tea and connect with our community outside of the class. Credits used for advanced registration will not be refunded to latecomers. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
