Lorena Martinez is a Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioner certified by the Functional Nutrition Alliance, she is also a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher that has supported pregnant and postpartum mamas for over a decade in the Bay Area. Lorena is passionate about working with women through life transitions to help them live life at their fullest potential.
On this pregnancy nutrition series you will learn how to optimize your meals according to your trimester to nurture your body and avoid deficiencies, you will also understand how to better deal with common health issues such as nausea, heartburn and more. We will also discuss the safe use supplements to enhance your pregnancy so you and your baby can thrive.
FIRST TRIMESTER CLASS: WEEK 1 TO 13 - Saturday April 24th from 2:30pm - 3:30pm
On the first trimester class we will discuss how what you eat now affects fetal development including your baby’s genetic behavior. You will learn how to eat to ease nausea, heartburn and understand all about the nutrients you need on this stage of pregnancy even when you don’t feel like eating much.
SECOND TRIMESTER CLASS: WEEK 14 TO 27 - Saturday May 8th from 2:30pm - 3:30pm
On the Second trimester class you will learn how to enjoy and enhance the most exciting part of pregnancy and how to prepare your body for the most challenging part of your journey. We will also discuss the use of supplements and how to move away from deficiencies that can cause muscle cramps, fatigue and other issues.
THIRD TRIMESTER CLASS: WEEK 28 TO DELIVERY- Saturday June 12th from 2:30pm - 3:30pm
On the Third trimester class you will learn how to prepare your body for labor, what supplements to stop taking and what to add in preparation for breastfeeding and postpartum recovery. You will also understand how to nurture your body for self repair and how to prep nutritious meals after your baby comes.
