Prenatal Partner Yoga

This prenatal class is designed to include a partner in mom’s yoga practice if desired. The class content will be very similar to a regular prenatal yoga class including meditation, body/breath work, and stretching designed to refresh and relax. In addition, attendees will be offered some partner poses and optional opportunities to connect with each other.
Moms do not have to come with a partner of any sort to experience yoga as a mind, body, spirit practice- a tool to create deeper meaning and connection during their pregnancy and beyond. The intention is for all class attendees to benefit from yoga and to accommodate pairs, moms who are open to males joining a prenatal class, or moms who just prefer a Sunday afternoon time to practice.
Other benefits from participating in this class include heightened self awareness, deeper connection to partner/others, and cultivating moments that are shared and remembered.
Class & Registration Information
Please note: For safety reasons and out of respect for students and instructors, nobody will be permitted to yoga classes 10 minutes past the posted start time. Please allow plenty of time to park (especially during lunchtime classes) and to check in. If you should arrive late, we welcome you to stay to enjoy a cup of tea and connect with our community outside of the class. Credits used for advanced registration will not be refunded to latecomers. Each person in class is required to use a drop-in credit. An 8-class pass may be shared, but a credit will be used for each person. Unlimited passes may NOT be shared. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
To further help you identify which classes will best suit your needs, we offer the following key:
Physical Intensity Level: "High" indicates a vigorous, athletic, physically strenuous workout that will make most people sweat. "Low" indicates a gentle, restful, restorative workout, with the emphasis of the practice on relaxing.
Community Level: "High" indicates that class begins with a group check-in and conversation, questions, and discussion is invited throughout the practice. Topics are generally related to pregnancy and birth, and may include other topics as well, as guided by students. The use of partner poses is factored in as well. "Low" indicates that conversation is limited to a brief check-in at the beginning of class and the practice invites the student to look "inward."
Birth Education Level: "High" indicates that much of the practice is related to birth education, such as practicing positions that aid in delivery or explanation of maternity care options in the area. "Low" indicates that minimal birthing topics are discussed during class with the focus on the pregnancy itself.
Styles: Indicates the styles of yoga or other philosophies that influence the practices of the class. The teacher may have specific training or certification in these styles.
