Mission
PHP’s mission is to help children and adults with special needs receive the support and services they need to reach their full potential by providing information, training, and resources to build strong families and improve systems of care.
Vision
We envision a world where our communities are not afraid of differences.
A world where families are not overwhelmed by the challenges of parenting a child with special needs.
A world where there are adequate community resources for all families.
This world will include and embrace all people with special needs. Their lives and the lives of their families will be filled with hope, fun and meaningful opportunities that reflect an optimism and sense of security about the future.
The values that guide our mission and vision and the work that we do as an agency are important to define. Our values are:
PHP Values Children
Children of all levels of ability and disability are valued, respected and included in their community.
PHP Values Families
Families are the child’s best advocate and teacher and we strive to empower and support families as they raise a child with special needs.
PHP Values Employees and Volunteers
PHP strives to attract and develop a talented and dedicated workforce and to provide an environment which fosters productivity, mutual respect, and personal fulfillment for staff and volunteers.
PHP Values Diversity

PHP Values Community
All children and families are welcome, active and embraced by the community and we collaborate and partner with other agencies and organizations to broaden our impact.

PHP Values Stewardship
PHP’s strives to ensure both fiscal stability and organizational health for the long term viability of the agency.
"I enthusiastically recommend Blossom to all of my pregnant patients. In my opinion, it is the best center in the Bay Area for support, classes and information related to pregnancy and becoming a mother. Blossom offers a whole range of wonderful courses that are small, intimate and are lead by very dedicated instructors. The atmosphere here is very nurturing and allows women to connect with many others who are going through the same transition into parenthood. Many of my patients have made important long lasting friendships with others they have met here."

"What I like most about Blossom is the diversity of parenting experiences that find their way to attending classes, talks and social activities. I've made friends and had a great interaction with parents who are adoptive, surrogacy-based, fertility warriors, single moms by choice, lesbian partnered, young, older, grandparents, students, professionals, and more. Blossom really is a great space, created by genuine, caring people!"
