Misty Masvalo

Misty is a free spirit, she always follows her heart and trusts her gut. She honors lifelong learning and living a balanced life. Misty is an infant and toddler teacher at Google Children's Center and has worked with children of all ages. She began her career in Early Childhood Education in 2009 and quickly fell in love with the impactful work of supporting young children and families. Misty is passionate about promoting wellbeing and sharing the empowerment of yoga, mindfulness and deep breathing with children and adults alike.
Misty began practicing yoga in 2007 while studying psychology at UC Irvine. Through yoga, she discovered true solace while on her mat and found renewed strength and resilience. Yoga taught Misty the necessity and beauty of self-care and mindfulness. Withyoga as her foundation, Misty enjoys running, climbing and adventures in nature.
Family Yoga with Misty nurtures the bond between parent and child through the shared experience of yoga, singing and dancing. Her class is playful, creative and gentle. Misty will guide you through an alignment focused flow to support the everyday movements and activities of parents with young children, while incorporating integrative core awareness through breath-work and postures.
In her Prenatal Yoga class, Misty hopes to empower women to cultivate self-love and acknowledge the intuitive wisdom and strength of their mind, body and spirit. She guides students through meditation, mindful breathing and gentle postures as they deepen the connection with their baby and experience the grounding energy of community.
Misty began teaching yoga (RYT 500) in 2018. She completed the Dharma Path Advanced Studies 200 and 300 hour series at Samyama Yoga Center. She is currently finishing her 100 hour prenatal yoga training with Lotus Blossom.
