Class Description
Though most of this journey will be guided by intuition and love, basic knowledge of your baby's needs will help ensure a smooth adjustment for both of you.
What You Will Learn
The goal of the class is to give you the knowledge and self-confidence to take care of your newborn once you get out of the hospital. The small group size allows expecting parents to discuss their individual needs and answer their questions.
Topics include:
- What do newborns look like?
- Why do they cry, how to soothe them?
- What is the physiology of their sleep? How to help them fall asleep?
- How to bathe, dress, and change a newborn?
- How to make sure your home and baby’s equipment are safe?
- What to buy for your baby?
- When to call the pediatrician or 911?
