Welcome to our monthly one-hour workshop designed to support expectant and postpartum mothers on their journey to pelvic floor health and overall well-being.Whether you're expecting or have recently given birth, this class is tailored to address your specific needs, from relieving common pregnancy discomforts to reconnecting with your core and pelvic floor postpartum. In this informative session, we will cover: Relief from Common Pregnancy Ailments: Discover strategies to alleviate discomforts such as back pain, hip pain, and pubic discomfort, ensuring a more comfortable pregnancy experience.

Connecting with Your Core and Pelvic Floor: Learn techniques to maintain a strong connection with your core and pelvic floor during pregnancy and postpartum, promoting better posture, stability, and overall health. The Pelvic Floor's Role in Labor and Delivery: Understand the vital role your pelvic floor plays during labor and delivery, empowering you with knowledge to navigate this transformative experience.

Optimal Exercises for Pregnancy and Postpartum: Explore safe and effective exercises tailored for expectant and postpartum mothers, helping you stay active and promote your well-being. Whether you're experiencing symptoms like diastasis recti, leaking with activities, pelvic pressure, bowel issues, or painful intercourse, or simply seeking to deepen your connection to your core and pelvic floor, this class is for you.

We'll also delve into the basics of core engagement and pelvic floor health, including guidance on mastering kegel exercises tailored to your unique needs.Your journey through pregnancy and postpartum is unique, and our goal is to empower you with knowledge and techniques to support your individual needs. Join us and take the first step toward a stronger, more resilient pelvic floor and overall well-being. Meet the Instructor

Tanya Goodrich, PT, DPT, is the visionary force behind Healthy Pelvis Physical Therapy, aspecialty clinic nestled in the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area focusing on women’s health and pelvic floor issues. Dr. Tanya holds a BFA from the California Institute of the Arts in Dance, along with a Masters and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of California San Francisco.

With over a decade of clinical expertise, Dr. Tanya specializes in pregnancy/postpartum care, menopause, pelvic and lower back pain, as well as bladder/bowel issues like incontinence and prolapse, along with sexual dysfunctions such as pain during intercourse and vaginismus. Tanya is unwaveringly devoted to promoting awareness about pelvic health issues and delivering exceptional quality care to her patients.

Beyond the realm of pelvic health, Tanya embraces another passion – working as a backstage physical therapist for dancers and performers in Broadway productions across San Francisco and San Jose. Her role behind the scenes in acclaimed shows including Book of Mormon, Porgy and Bess, Newsies, and Wicked. 

 



Excitingly, Dr. Tanya has taken on the new role of Clinical Physical Therapy Advisor to EVERNOW Inc, an innovative menopause tech company dedicated to redefining menopause care. Tanya's expertise and dedication are driving advancements in women's health and well-being, making her a valuable contributor to the field.
Tanya currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two children.
