Marketing Program Manager
Job Summary
The Marketing Manager role requires collaboration with the Program Managers, Fundraising Coordinator and Executive Director. Together these roles shape the programming offered at Blossom as set forth based on the mission, vision and values of the organization. The role reports directly to the Executive Director and may liaise with the Board of Directors as needed. Duties include program planning and management, execution and reporting. The Marketing Manager will help maintain an average number of class hours as set forth by the Executive Director and accounting team.
The person fulfilling this role is deeply committed to the vision and mission of Blossom, as decided on by the Board of Directors and carried out by the Executive Director and staff. The Marketing Manager will sustain and grow programming. He/she will be creative, flexible, and able to maximize limited resources to achieve the organization’s goals. He/she will curate a welcoming brand for Blossom, helping to build and engage the Blossom community.
Duties and responsibilities:
· Own the Blossom newsletter process
· Create engaging graphics to promote classes and workshops
· Collaborate with Program Managers on important classes and message
· Actively update and stay engaged in Social Media
· WellnessLiving (CRM) marketing for Blossom’s current clients
· Analyze client demand through Google Analytics, surveys, feedback forms and more
· Sustain customer loyalty
· Work on rewards program
· Drip campaigns for new students
· Cross marketing between yoga, support groups and childbirth prep
· Engage instructors in marketing efforts and stay active promoting their classes
· Amplify Blossom services and cross-sell opportunities
· Learn about Blossom’s competitors and other similar business and markets
· Plan and promote Blossom monthly get-togethers (online or in-person)
· Convert attendees to registered clients
· Outreach program via Facebook/Instagram and other new platforms
· Target potential customers via Google Ads and any other medium
· Brainstorm on new events to connect with the community
Desired Characteristics and Job Qualifications
· A passion for Blossom’s mission
· Previous marketing and design experience
· Driven, self-starting, flexible, creative, and patient leader
· Good analytical skills with an ability to make data-based decisions
· Well organized with strong time-management skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
· Experience with collaborative decision-making with staff and peers
· Strong administrative skills, including computer literacy
· Working knowledge of infant/maternal health or at least interest and willingness to self-educate about these topics
· Bachelor’s degree or higher
This position reports to the Executive Director and typically requires an average of 15-20 hours a week with flexibility to work from home. Peak times may require more hours and non-peak times offer more flexibility in the schedule. This position requires you to be able to participate in occasional evening and weekend organizational events. Pay is commensurate with knowledge and skill level.

Board of Directors Responsibilities

While day-to-day operations are led by Blossom’s Executive Director (ED), the Board-ED relationship is a partnership, and the appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected. Specific leadership, governance and oversight responsibilities of an individual Board Member include:

Time Commitment
Two-year term commitment with an option to extend for a maximum of three terms
Attendance at monthly Board meetings (typically held in the evening))
Attendance at two semi-annual Board retreats (~4-6 hours on a weekend)
Additional 4 hours/month minimum of volunteering (including committee work)
Participation in the organization’s fundraising efforts as described above

- Knowing the organization’s mission, policies, programs, and needs
- Serving as a trusted advisor to the ED as they develop and implement Blossom’s strategic plan
- Reviewing outcomes and metrics created by Blossom for evaluating its impact, and regularly measuring its performance and effectiveness using those metrics; reviewing agenda and supporting materials prior to board and committee meetings
- Approving Blossom’s annual budget, audit reports, and material business decisions; being informed of, and meeting all legal and fiduciary responsibilities, including faithfully reading and understanding the organization’s financial statements
- Contributing to an annual performance evaluation of the ED
- Assisting the ED and board chair in identifying and recruiting other Board Members
- Serving as an active advocate and ambassador for the organization and fully engaging in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for the organization to advance its mission
- Leveraging connections, networks, and resources to fully help achieve the organization’s mission and to benefit the organization’s fundraising and reputational standing
- Serving on at least one committee or task force and taking on special assignments
- Ensuring Blossom’s commitment to a diverse board and staff that reflects the community Blossom serves

- Blossom Board Members will consider Blossom a philanthropic priority and make an annual gift that reflects that priority. So that Blossom can credibly solicit contributions from foundations, organizations, and individuals, Blossom expects to have 100 percent of Board Members make an annual contribution that is commensurate with their capacity or to secure that amount through philanthropic solicitation (give or get).
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
- Professional experience with leadership accomplishments in maternal, pediatric or mental health, non-profit management, fundraising, financial planning and analysis, management and governance, human resources, and/or community development
- Savvy diplomatic skills and a natural affinity for cultivating relationships and persuading, convening, facilitating, and building consensus among diverse individuals
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a passion for supporting expecting parents and growing families
- An entrepreneurial, self-starting mentality
