Observer Policy

Observer Policy

Yoga Classes

We understand that part of your training program requires you to observe a certain number of classes and Blossom is open and happy to support your certification. With our new policies, we offer two observation classes free of charge.

Should you need to observe additional classes, we kindly ask that you purchase one of the passes below:

The first step is to create a Wellness Living account. Once you have done so, please send an email to blossom@blossombirthandfamily.org with the dates and times of the 2 classes you’d like to observe. We will then get in touch with the instructors to make sure they are comfortable with having an observer and get back to you to confirm.

When you join the class, as per our instructors request and for the comfort of all present, we ask that you always keep your camera on. Also, if the class you are watching has only one student present, please participate in the class with the instructor: it makes the students a little more at ease.

Once you conclude your certification and start teaching, please let us know so you can go through Blossom’s Verification process and become an instructor with us.

Childbirth & Baby Prep Classes

We understand that many birth professionals may be required to observe childbirth or baby prep classes. Blossom is open and happy to support your training/certification.

Blossom is a non-profit that proudly offers smaller, intimate group classes. Due to the intimate nature of these classes, as well as privacy/confidentiality concerns, we kindly ask observers to review and adhere to the following guidelines:

Permission/Consent Must Be Obtained Beforehand:

  • From the instructor

  • From registered attendees (if any registered attendee does not consent, observation will not be allowed)

Observer Conduct:

  • NO photos, audio or video recordings of the class

  • Respectful, undisruptive behavior during class time

  • Confidentiality Form/Non-Disclosure Agreement

Restrictions

  • Only one observer per class, first-come-first-served basis

  • Limit: can observe up to 2 classes (a series counts as 1 class)

How to Observe

  1. The first step is to create a Wellness Living Account.

  2. Once you have done so, please fill out this interest form.
We will then get in touch with the instructor(s) to make sure they are comfortable with having an observer and get back to you to confirm.

  3. Fill out this confidentiality form/non-disclosure agreement.

  4. Blossom kindly asks childbirth & baby prep class observers to volunteer and/or pay a courtesy fee:

    1. Volunteer the same number of hours as the class you wish to observe (ranging from 2 to 12 hours)

    2. Volunteer hours are to be completed within 6 months

    3. If volunteer opportunities are unavailable or the total amount of hours cannot be met: observers may pay just 20% of the class fee (80% covered by Blossom!) and volunteer a partial amount of hours

  5. After the class, observers are asked to please share a testimonial with Blossom. Testimonials can be about your experience/what you gained from the class, and format options for submitting testimonials include:

    1. Review

    2. Video clip

    3. Blog

    4. Article
