Childbirth Prep Classes

Knowledge is power. Feeling informed and prepared for your baby’s arrival can greatly improve your birth experience and increase confidence. Our wide variety of Childbirth Classes differ in their approach, objective and length.

Choose a class based on what you envision for your birth as well as your mental, emotional, physical and practical needs:

Birthing Naturally: Partner Supported Childbirth

Childbirth Prep Series

8-week Series Simple and thorough techniques that enable the birthing person to channel one’s strength, confidence, and relaxed disposition when preparing for labor and birth. This class focuses on preparing for an unmedicated birth with the help of tools and techniques.

3 week series with Michelle

5 week series with Mendy A balance between theory and practice, providing a true view of labor and delivery with its many variations and personal coping techniques. This series provides evidence based information covering all choices pertaining to childbirth, including (but not limited to) what to expect when birthing in a hospital environment and pain management options.

Want to emphasize your partner or expecting again?

Birthing with Confidence

In this workshop, you can expect a light and fun atmosphere with hands-on learning. It is designed for families to learn useful tools and techniques that can help ease labor, promote relaxation, build confidence and promote labor progress.

Choosing a Childbirth Class

FAQs

“When should I take a childbirth class?”

It is recommended to complete ALL childbirth classes by the 37th week of pregnancy.

“Which childbirth class is right for me? What’s the difference between the series?”

Take a look at this PDF with a detailed comparative chart of our Childbirth classes.

Consider: what do you wish/envision? What are your reasons for taking a Childbirth Class? What do you want to learn? How much time do you have before your estimated due date? How much time do you have available to take the class?

“Will the class be recorded if I miss a session?”

Blossom is unable to provide Zoom recordings for missed sessions, due to privacy and confidentiality concerns. Thank you for understanding.
