Childbirth Prep Series

Picture
The Childbirth Prep Series derives tools and techniques from a broad and diverse range of sources covering all the core topics of any comprehensive childbirth preparation class. This series is known to have a great balance between theory and practice allowing you to arrive at the day of your birth knowledgeable and confident, outfitted with a vast variety of labor support tools. Couples tell us they especially appreciate the practical approach that goes beyond what is typically covered in basic books or classes.

What you will learn

Breathing and relaxation techniques
  • Positions of comfort
  • Partner support
  • Visualization
  • Options regarding labor variations
  • Pain management
  • Informed consent
  • Complications and medical interventions
Visual aids and films add a true view of labor and delivery with its many variations and personal coping techniques. A small group size allows for more individual attention and time to discuss topics of concern. You will come away with a clear understanding of labor on the physical as well as emotional level.

Blossom understands the importance of creating a community of support and camaraderie for the transition into parenthood. A small class size fosters long-lasting connections among parents-to-be. In addition, Blossom hosts many opportunities for new families to return with their babies to continue the connections made in their birthing class and make even more! (See Parent-Baby Groups). Experienced Blossom Moms tell us the Community at Blossom is what sets us apart from other birth classes in the area.
