Mindfulness Meditation for Parents

Saturdays 9-10am
with Lauren Streb
This group is a welcoming space for parents of all genders who want to feel more present and resourced.
It is a mindfulness class for first-time meditators and experienced practitioners who yearn for more peace.
It is a resting place for human beings - messy and imperfect - who want to connect in person.
What You Can Expect:
In this class, we approach mindfulness as an aspirational lifestyle. Every day, we have opportunities to slow down and live in the moment while we breathe, eat, or talk. Formal practices like seated meditation can be augmented with mindful movement, self-compassion exercises, and curious observation of where our attention goes when it isn’t here. All these tools help us refuel as parents and model these beneficial strategies with our little ones.
Each class will include guided periods of meditation and discussion. After becoming more centered and resourced through practice, students will explore practical ways to use these techniques throughout the week. Mindfulness is simple but not always easy to remember. That is why we practice together. By asking questions, sharing challenges, and supporting each other's growth, we can troubleshoot what gets in the way of presence.
